Established in 2004 by the legendary Smt. Sreejaya, the dance school has gained a reputation for excellence. Rooted in tradition in imparting the art form but with a contemporary approach in the quest for merit. The dance school is working towards engaging patrons in social and cultural aspects of everyday life.
Smt. Sreejaya Nair - Artistic Director
Smt. Sreejaya, our Artistic Director was trained at Kerala Kalamandalam, deemed to be University of Art and Culture by the Government of India, a major centre for learning Indian performing arts.
Smt. Sreejaya is a professional classical dancer under the tutelage of Smt.Chitra Chandrasekhar Dasarathy, daughter of renowned classical dance exponent Shri C.V.Chandrasekhar.
Smt. Sreejaya embodies immense & rich experience in performing art, teaching and choreography and is also a firm believer in spreading this knowledge and skill to the best of her ability.
Course Curriculum
Sreejaya’s School of Classical Dance follows an institution based course curriculum, programmed for gradual progression from one lesson to the next ensuring perfection of each and every dance lesson be it the adavus (steps), mudras (hand gestures) or dance songs.

SSCD emphasizes on achieving excellence leading to perfection in each of our student’s performance and execution of this beautiful classical dance form – Bharatanatyam.

Nrithya Sandhya - Our Prodigy
SSCD does not believe in an ‘Annual Day’ concept by pushing students on to the stage every year. Our signature show “Nrithya Sandhya” is conducted in front of a very large audience only when the students have completed their prescribed curriculum.

SSCD is a professionally managed organization staffed by carefully selected and experienced managers at every level and ably helmed Mr.Madan N Nair - Managing Director. Mr. Madan’s extensive management experience over two decades in the IT domain brings in the efficiency, planning and implementation of this successful institution.
